What to expect at Bank North

Culture is very important to us at Bank North, and we have no legacy or cultural issues to hold us back. We are taking this opportunity to make our working environment progressive, inclusive, rewarding, and beneficial to the surrounding community.

As a start-up, we work incredibly hard, wearing multiple hats at times to get the work done. We support and help each other because we believe that one person’s problem is everyone’s problem.

Each year we nominate a charity to support and as an organisation, we raise money through sporting activities, donations, and local charity events. We love to let off steam when we need to - working with us you’ll find that there will always be social events in your diary to get involved in.

Why work with us?

Holidays

We really care about the health and wellbeing of our people and know how important it is to have time to rest and re-energise, spend time with friends and family, do the things we love to do and so we give all of our people 30 days holiday plus bank holidays

Pension

We want to help all of our people to take care of their future with an 8% pension contribution and salary sacrifice option

Health & Insurance

Ensuring our people have good mental and physical health is important so we provide Private Medical Insurance, Group Income Protection, Critical Illnesses, and Life Assurance benefits to all employees

Retirement

In the unfourtunate case of a long term injury or illnesses and you cannot return to work, 50% of your salary is paid after 26 weeks of absence up to retirement age

Above all, we recognise the importance of ensuring our people enjoy working for Bank North and have a good work-life balance. We give real focus and attention to our inclusive and supportive work environment, offering a flexible, modern approach to working with us!

Working for a challenger, start-up bank is an exciting, once in a career opportunity. Not everyone gets to build a bank!

Having Bank North be highly commended for the Best Overall People Experience is a great recognition of everything we have accomplished since 2018, and for putting people at the heart of our business.

We have worked incredibly hard to grow a culture where everyone feels a part of our business and connected to purpose and aspirations – where everyone feels they can bring their whole selves to the table!

Making sure our people are heard, feel connected and feel safe and supported at work is key to creating the best people experience and it’s heart-warming to be recognised, particularly as this was our people who said so!
